LeMans Cars

These LeMans cars are the reason I started collecting cars in the first place. I was watching a lot of GT races on the Speedvision channel and I got hooked on the LeMans races. Then one day at the store I saw some of these cars for sell, and since I've tried to buy every one that I can find.

Celica Pikes Peak, 1997 - Hot Wheels

I got this one at an antique mall store for $1.99.

UPDATE: (3-29-08) I got this Pikes Peak Celica at the store recently. They also have it in Red. It's a Hot Wheel of course.

Maserati MC12 - Hot Wheels (Don't care much for this paint job).

Mercedes CLK LM - 1999 - Hot Wheels

Nissan Silvia S15 - Hot Wheels

Panoz GTR 1 - 1997 - Hot Wheels (love Panoz).

Panoz LMP1 Roadster S - 2000 - Hot Wheels

Cadillac LMP - Hot Wheels. I have a bigger one of this car. Click on Cadillac label at the end of the post to see it. A lot of great sticker details on this one.

School Bus

A school bus by Matchbox.

Porsche Carrera 911

Porsche Carrera 911 by Burago.

Porsche 928

Porsche 928. This was another cheapy one that I bought. 1:24 my in China...that's all I know.

Porsche 911 GT3

Porsche 911 GT3 by Matchbox.

Porsche 356B 1961

Porsche 356B 1961 by Burago. Had to have this one too. love that blue.

Pierce Arrow Model B 1930

Pierce Arrow Model B 1930. I bought this thing for so cheap at Wal-Mart. Like 6 bucks or something. It's kind of cheapy, but makes for good drawing reference.

Mercedes Benz SSK

Mercedes Benz SSK by Burago. I feel so bad. I've dropped this thing so many times because it's been on display next to where I work, so pieces are missing all over it. The hood ornament, the wind shield, and one of the tires is missing. Oh well. Still looks great. Some cars age well, and when you damage them only give it character. I also think a well designed car will always look good even when it's covered in mud and dirt, or rusted away.

Lotus Esprit Sub

This is the awesome Lotus Esprit Submarine from James Bond made by Corgi.

It has 4 small wheels underneath, and when you click the grill on the hood... transforms into a sub. The trigger on top is to release the tiny red missiles on the back window, which are very easy to lose.

Love the details. Worth every penny.

International Armored Car

International Armored Car by Matchbox. This is pretty much the same as the one from earlier. Just a different paint job and Red windows. Click on the Police Label below to see the others of the 5 pack I got of police vehicles.

Halloween Robo Car

Halloween Robo Car by Hot Wheels. Hot Wheels came out with a few Halloween Cars for Halloween 2007. This is the only one I bought. I had to have it, I'm addicted to Robots right now. I really like how the tires are rubber too. Don't see that very often on Hot Wheels or Matchbox. Kind of silly though, a robot with wheels on its back.

Incredimobile from McDonald's Happy Meal. From one the greatest animated movies of all time, The Incredibles.

Hummer H2 SUV Concept

Hummer H2 SUV Concept by Matchbox. The only reason I have this one is because it came in a set. Click on the Police Label below to see the others of the 5 pack I got of police vehicles.

Ford Crown Victoria

Ford Crown Victoria by Matchbox. This car I had to have. I only wish it had the white hood as well. Click on the Police Label below to see the others of the 5 pack i got of police vehicles.

Ferrari Enzo

The Enzo Ferrari. This is a small RC made by Nikko. It has some nice details, and looks nice next to my smaller one. (I'll post that one later)

Ferrari 250 GT Spider

Ferrari 250 GT Spider by Hot Wheels. This is a larger scale Hot Wheels. I couldn't find another car closer to the one in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Cadillac Northstar LeMans Prototype

Cadillac Northstar LeMans Prototype by Hot Wheels. This is a larger scale car. I have the smaller Hot Wheels car, if you click on the label "cadillac" below you can see the other smaller one.

Love the engine details.

Bugatti 11 G3B

Bugatti 11 G3B 1991 by Burago.

BMW 328

BMW 328 1940 by Road Signature. Loved seeing this car in person at the L.A. Auto Show at the end of 2007. They had a really nice red one.
