Mercedes-Benz Unimog U300

Matchbox made this Mercedes-Benz Unimog U300. I'd been holding off of buying any of the work trucks that Matchbox makes. i don't typically like them all that much. It usually has to do with the details, like the grills, where they put chrome, paint jobs, interiors. A lot of times it just looks sloppy. I went ahead and got this one because I love Unimogs.

Anyhow, look how cool THESE Unimogs are! Watch me get carried away!

Prototype H-24

This is a Hot Wheels car called Prototype H-24.


This one got me excited for a second, I thought it was the Porsche LeMans car (same color scheme), but then I realized it was a non-existent car. Oh, well. I couldn't help but buy it anyways. I has a nice little design. It reminds me of a speed racer car, like from the new movie coming out soon.

This is another one I tried to avoid buying, but couldn't. We joking call this a kidnapper van or a spy van. I always wanted one in high school so I could put a tv inside with video games and sleeping bags, but whatever.

The only thing I didn't like about it was that there are big 'ol lumps around the wheels. You don't typically see that on these Chevy vans, do you?

Mercedes Benz SSK

Mercedes Benz SSK by Burago. I feel so bad. I've dropped this thing so many times because it's been on display next to where I work, so pieces are missing all over it. The hood ornament, the wind shield, and one of the tires is missing. Oh well. Still looks great. Some cars age well, and when you damage them only give it character. I also think a well designed car will always look good even when it's covered in mud and dirt, or rusted away.

Lotus Esprit Sub

This is the awesome Lotus Esprit Submarine from James Bond made by Corgi.

It has 4 small wheels underneath, and when you click the grill on the hood...


...it transforms into a sub. The trigger on top is to release the tiny red missiles on the back window, which are very easy to lose.


Love the details. Worth every penny.

Halloween Robo Car

Toy Collecting Nerdiness

It stinks having a passion for cars that I will never afford, so I buy these toys to satisfy my cravings. It's a relatively cheap hobby and easy enough to store (at least the hot wheels are). So here I'll begin posting what I've collected so far until I run out of stuff to share. Then I'll post my purchases as I go. I realize this blog is mostly for my own enjoyment, but may be fun for those with similar hobbies or interests. Enjoi.
