These LeMans cars are the reason I started collecting cars in the first place. I was watching a lot of GT races on the Speedvision channel and I got hooked on the LeMans races. Then one day at the store I saw some of these cars for sell, and since I've tried to buy every one that I can find.

Celica Pikes Peak, 1997 - Hot Wheels

I got this one at an antique mall store for $1.99.

UPDATE: (3-29-08) I got this Pikes Peak Celica at the store recently. They also have it in Red. It's a Hot Wheel of course.

Pierce Arrow Model B 1930

Pierce Arrow Model B 1930. I bought this thing for so cheap at Wal-Mart. Like 6 bucks or something. It's kind of cheapy, but makes for good drawing reference.

Mercedes Benz SSK

Mercedes Benz SSK by Burago. I feel so bad. I've dropped this thing so many times because it's been on display next to where I work, so pieces are missing all over it. The hood ornament, the wind shield, and one of the tires is missing. Oh well. Still looks great. Some cars age well, and when you damage them only give it character. I also think a well designed car will always look good even when it's covered in mud and dirt, or rusted away.

Lotus Esprit Sub

This is the awesome Lotus Esprit Submarine from James Bond made by Corgi.

It has 4 small wheels underneath, and when you click the grill on the hood...

...it transforms into a sub. The trigger on top is to release the tiny red missiles on the back window, which are very easy to lose.

Love the details. Worth every penny.

International Armored Car

International Armored Car by Matchbox. This is pretty much the same as the one from earlier. Just a different paint job and Red windows. Click on the Police Label below to see the others of the 5 pack I got of police vehicles.

Halloween Robo Car

Halloween Robo Car by Hot Wheels. Hot Wheels came out with a few Halloween Cars for Halloween 2007. This is the only one I bought. I had to have it, I'm addicted to Robots right now. I really like how the tires are rubber too. Don't see that very often on Hot Wheels or Matchbox. Kind of silly though, a robot with wheels on its back.
